We all come to the Colorado Mountain Dog for our own reasons, often rooted in a deep love for our animals and a desire to protect them. For Jeff and Jenn’s family, that calling came after the heartbreaking loss of one of their young goats to a coyote. My heart goes out to them — I know the fear and sorrow that come from losing an animal you love.
Jeff and Jenn are such kind, caring people, and I’m so grateful they chose to bring Opal and Pearl home to protect their goats. They drove all the way from New Mexico to pick them up, and I made sure the girls got a nice bath before their big trip so they wouldn’t smell too much like the farm for the long ride.
Opal and Pearl are already a bonded team, and knowing they’ll continue their journey together — watching over their new herd and family — fills my heart with joy. I can’t wait to see them grow and thrive in their beautiful new home. ❤️
